What is a Ration Card ?

A Ration Card is an official document issued by the government that enables eligible households to purchase subsidized food grains and essential commodities through the Public Distribution System (PDS). It also acts as a valid proof of identity and address in many situations.

How to Apply for Ration Card at Our CSC

Applying for a Ration Card has never been easier! Visit our CSC (Common Service Centre) and we’ll help you:

1. Visit Our Center

Come to our CSC with the required documents during working hours.

2. Fill the Ration Card Application Form

Our team will help you correctly fill out the official state-specific Ration Card form.

3. Document Submission & Verification

Submit the necessary documents for identity and address proof. We will verify and upload them to the official system.

4. Family Member Details

You must provide information and documents for all household members to be included in the Ration Card.

5. Acknowledgment Slip

After the submission, you’ll receive a slip with your application reference number to track your status.

Documents Required for Ration Card

Only two documents are needed — one for Proof of Identity and one for Proof of Address:

Proof of Identity (Any one):
  • Ration Card
  • Voter ID
  • Passport
  • Driving License
  • Aadhaar Card
Proof of Address (Any one):
  • Electricity Bill
  • Bank Statement / Passbook
  • Water Bill
  • Ration Card
  • Aadhaar Card
Family Proof (Any one):
  • Birth Certificate (for children)
  • Aadhar Cards of all family members
  • Marriage Certificate (if applicable)

Note: In case of newly married couples or newly migrated families, separate proof of deletion from old ration card may be required by authorities.

Processing Time
  • Application processing may take 15–30 working days based on state guidelines.
  • Once approved, you will receive an SMS/email confirmation.
  • You can collect your physical Ration Card or download it (if your state offers e-Ration services).
